About Probate Clock
Probate Clock is an independent reference site that reads each state's probate statutes and court fee schedules and turns them into a checker and plain-language pages. It is not a law firm, gives no legal advice, takes no referral fees and does not refer anyone to lawyers.
How the site works
Every figure is read from a state statute or an official court fee schedule and stored with its citation, source link and the date it was checked. Nothing is estimated: where a statute could not be read, that state is left out and listed. The methodology page has every source.
The site carries no advertising, no affiliate links and no lawyer referrals, and nobody involved in a probate matter pays it anything. The free, official help is the probate court clerk or self-help center in the county where the person lived.
Corrections
If a figure is wrong or a source has changed, email hello@probateclock.com with the page and a link. Corrections go into the data file and the check date updates with the next build.
